Feeding your puppy: We use Purina Pro Plan Puppy food. This has come highly recommended by our vet and other breeders. A sample bag will be sent home with each puppy. We encourage new families to use this bag for the first few days the puppy is in their new environment. If another puppy food is preferred, you can change at that time.
-
Our facilities: Our puppies are raised in our home in a special "puppy room". This room has a kennel area inside and a doggy door connected to a kennel area outside with a concrete pad. The mother dog is able to come and go yet remain in a safe environment. As the puppies grow, they will eventually be able to use the doggie door and explore outside. They will always be under our close supervision. Cameras are also positioned inside and out for constant monitoring.
-
Socialization: Puppies are handled and loved from the very first moments of birth. They are rubbed, rolled over and touched on their paws, gums and ears. Week 3 we introduce more noises such as hairdryers, vacuums, washing machines and hammers. Week three and four puppies start solid food and see less of their Mama. Week 5 puppies can work on mastering climbing and going through the doggy door. Week 6 puppies travel in a car to the vet as well as the photographer for a group picture. Week 6 and 7 we begin getting puppies used to a crate and leash. Week 8 puppies are ready for their new homes.
